The "Oyodo River” runs through the central area of Miyazaki City.
Along the banks of this river is Tachibana Park, which is famous for the writer Yasunari Kawabata praising its scenery and wrote about it in the novel "Tamayura".
"Tamayura" is a gentle sound made when Magatama, ancient trinkets, touch each other. The word is used to describe "impermanence" or "subtle elegance".
